BOOKS HAVE ARRIVED
Yes, they are here; more beautiful than I had imagined. Continental Shelf Publishing did an amazing job with Troy's Miracles and I'm having the time of my life autographing them. The dream has become a reality and the miracles continue to lift me up.
As I was driving to church last Sunday and listening to HI 99 radio station Carrie Underwood's familiar voice filled the air. As soon as "Mama, don't you worry about me" blasted out of the speakers I smelled the familiar scent of Tommie - the cologne Troy always wore. : } Beside me in the passengers seat was a copy of his book cover; I could just imagine him looking at it and smiling.
The song sounds as if it was written for Carrie's mother; a message to let her know how good her new husband is but as I continued to listen I realized how easily it could be translated to reflect on God and how good he is to our children who have left this world.
Carrie Underwood's Mama's song lyrics: He is good, so good/ He makes promises He keeps/ No he's never gonna leave/ So don't you worry about me/ Don't you worry about me.....
It could so easily be a comforting song for Mother's who have lost their children - now I find myself listening for it each time I run an errand.
Winter has arrived with a vengence here in Indiana and we're expecting a few more inches of snow tomorrow so it's a good time to stay in, stay warm and visit with my great aunt June. Hope everyone is having a good week.
Take care,
Terry
