MOTHER'S WITH BROKEN HEARTS MEETING
We had our monthly meeting tonight and although I'm always blessed to be in the company of such wonderful caring ladies, tonight I felt especially blessed.
A member who I will refer to as "M" has been having a really rough time of things since she lost her son eleven years ago and just hasn't been able to find the strength to smile again. Every meeting has found her saddened and in tears.
What a blessing it was to see her stroll into the meeting tonight with a big grin and a glow on her face. She looked as if she was ten years younger and that glow and smile remained throughout the evening. It was apparent as she told her story that she had finally been able to move past the devastating loss of her son.
Last month "M" had purchased a copy of Troy's Miracles and couldn't wait to thank me and give me a big hug for writing it. We were all ears as she recapped the miracle she'd waited so long to receive; the miracle that she received after reading Troy's Miracles and finally being able to open up to the real possibility of the miracle that her son is still with her.
Unable to sleep through the night she found herself always running back and forths to the restroom five or six times throughout the night and this night seemed to be no different. Oh, but it was.....
After making the familiar 2 a.m. trip she went back to bed, laid down and felt the softest touch against her cheek; as if someone else's cheek was gently resting on her own. Then she heard it; "Momma, it's going to be o.k.".
Tears brimmed her eyes as she remembered her son's voice; it was the same voice she'd heard the last time they spoke and she seemed amazed that it hadn't changed.
"M" fell into a deep sleep that night and her life was once again - forever changed.
MAY GOD'S PEACE AND ANGEL'S WINGS SURROUND YOU
